On September 19, 2025, the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology convened a panel of technical and economic experts at Meeting Room A42 of China Risun Group’s Dingzhou Park Operations Center to conduct the final evaluation of the jointly submitted project by Hebei China Risun Energy Co., Ltd. and Beijing China Risun Technology Co., Ltd. The project, titled “Green Catalysis Technology for Pharmaceutical Intermediate 2-Amino-2-Methyl-1-Propanol” (Project No. JGK231224), was part of Hebei Province’s “Unveiling and Commanding” initiative for critical industrial technologies and products.
The expert panel unanimously concluded that the project had fully met all objectives outlined in the task mandate. Both technical and economic indicators achieved or exceeded expectations. The technology was deemed advanced, the data comprehensive, financial management compliant and efficient, and the economic and social benefits significant. The project was officially approved for acceptance.
During the evaluation, the panel reviewed detailed reports on project execution, technical achievements, and financial audits, and conducted a thorough on-site inspection. The experts highly commended the project’s pioneering technological breakthroughs and its strong industrialization performance. Notably, the team successfully developed a non-nitration catalytic route for amino alcohol synthesis under mild reaction conditions, achieving high yield and selectivity. This innovation effectively addressed the challenges of traditional nitration processes, such as high temperature and pressure requirements, low conversion rates, poor selectivity, and elevated safety risks.
The breakthrough not only disrupted foreign monopolies and filled a domestic technology gap, but also marked a historic leap from technological follower to global leader. It represents a major advancement in China’s high-end fine chemical sector and positions China Risun as the world’s second enterprise to achieve industrial-scale production of amino alcohols.
Attendees at the acceptance meeting included Mr. Wang Huadong, General Manager of Hebei China Risun; Mr. Wang Yaohong, Executive Deputy General Manager of Beijing China Risun Technology and General Manager of Dingzhou China Risun Technology; Mr. Li Kezhong, Deputy Chief Engineer of Hebei China Risun; and other key project personnel.
