Recently, the project “Research and Application of High-Quality Coking Technology for Precise Regulation of Single Vertical Flue Gas in Coke Ovens”, jointly undertaken by Hebei CNC Risun Energy Limited and Xingtai Risun Technology Co., Ltd. under Risun Group, successfully passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements in Hebei Province and was awarded the “Hebei Provincial Scientific and Technological Achievement Certificate.”
This breakthrough marks a substantive innovation by Hebei CNC Risun Energy Limited in the field of green and intelligent coking technology, providing a new pathway and injecting fresh vitality into the high-quality development of the coking industry in Hebei Province and across China.
Industry Background and Project Development
As a pillar of traditional energy, the coking industry is characterized by relatively complex production and management challenges. To further achieve energy conservation, emission reduction, and product quality improvement—while reinforcing technological innovation as the core strategic support for enterprise survival and growth—Risun Group established specialized technology companies and research institutes.
Within Risun Group’s Xingtai Park, Hebei CNC Risun Energy Limited and Xingtai Risun Technology worked in close collaboration, organizing R&D teams to tackle the project. Through in-depth field research, independent solution design, progressive development, iterative optimization, rigorous validation, and systematic integration—while leveraging and expanding Risun’s existing patents and proprietary technologies—the team successfully overcame bottlenecks and developed a single vertical flue gas regulation device for coke ovens.
This device enables precise control of gas flow, significantly improves furnace temperature uniformity, enhances coke product quality, reduces energy consumption, and fundamentally resolves issues caused by frequent replacement of small orifice plates in traditional processes. As a result, on-site management efficiency and production performance have been greatly improved.
Recognition and Certification
By August 2025, the project had fully met the performance and quality indicators stipulated in the 2023 Xingtai Municipal Science and Technology Plan Project task book, earning high recognition from the science and technology departments of Xingtai City and Xiangdu District.
After obtaining the acceptance certificate in September 2025, the project team actively submitted results to the National Scientific and Technological Achievements Online Registration System, providing key materials across ten areas. The project successfully passed the review of the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology and was subsequently included in the National Scientific and Technological Achievements Database.
Intellectual Property and Industry Impact
The project holds completely independent intellectual property rights. Demonstration applications at Hebei CNC Risun Energy Limited and Hebei Risun have shown remarkable results. It has already been granted a national utility model patent and won the Third Prize for Quality Technology from the Hebei Provincial Quality Association in 2024.
With further promotion, the project is expected to generate a benchmark catalytic effect within the industry. In particular, given its advantages in “creating a model for energy conservation and quality improvement, and advancing domestic single vertical flue precise regulation technology,” it will provide another replicable and scalable “Risun Solution” for industry-wide technological upgrades.
