December 31, 2025 – China Risun today announced the successful commissioning of the first coke oven at its Pingxiang Industrial Park, marking the start of operations for the company’s first production base south of the Yangtze River. The milestone represents a major step in China Risun’s nationwide expansion strategy and underscores its commitment to strengthening industry leadership through scale, innovation, and sustainability.

Pingxiang Risun Energy Co., Ltd., jointly established by China Risun, Pingxiang Mining Group, and Pingxiang Circular Industry Investment Co., Ltd., invested RMB 3 billion in the project, which covers 610 acres. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to produce 1.8 million tons of coke annually, along with 75,000 tons of coal tar, 23,500 tons of crude benzene, 24,700 tons of ammonium sulfate, and 790 million cubic meters of clean coal gas. The project is projected to generate RMB 4 billion in annual revenue and RMB 200 million in annual tax contributions.

The plant integrates world-class technologies and intelligent systems, including the largest dry quenching unit globally with waste-heat power generation, advanced SCP integrated coke oven machinery, and fully enclosed coal yards. These innovations enable “coal-invisible, coke-invisible” operations, ultra-low emissions, and efficient energy recycling. Environmental investment totals RMB 390 million, accounting for 15% of project costs, with annual CO₂ reductions estimated at 380,600 tons.

A dedicated railway line and multimodal transport system (rail, road, and water) ensure reliable raw material supply and cost-efficient logistics. Coke products will serve nearby markets in Hunan, Guangdong, and Fujian, helping to close regional supply gaps and support steel industry upgrades. Additionally, the project will supply 400 million cubic meters of clean coal gas annually to local industries, reducing reliance on coal-based gas and fostering cluster development in Pingxiang’s ceramics sector.

China Risun emphasized that the successful launch of the Pingxiang plant reflects strong shareholder collaboration and government support. Looking ahead, Pingxiang Risun will extend its industrial chain from coking into new energy, new materials, and fine chemicals, aiming to build a world-class green circular economy park. This initiative will further advance China Risun’s national footprint while contributing to high-quality regional economic growth.
